The scheduled date has passed. The answers below retain the announcement context; the passage of a date does not confirm that the event took place or that every announced detail remained unchanged.

When did the 2026 US Open main draw begin?

The official US Open schedule says the 2026 singles main draws began on Sunday, August 30. The wider event runs from August 23 through September 13.

Why does this page not show a 2027 US Open date yet?

This page keeps the source-reviewed 2026 edition until the US Open publishes the 2027 main-draw date instead of inferring next year’s schedule.

Date-only countdowns compare calendar dates in the governing timezone. They do not invent a start time.
